World’s Largest Outdoor Mural Brings Unity

by Tinger Hseih | 1 year ago

Are you familiar with the graffiti artist Banksy? What about Brazilian street artist Eduardo Kobra? You may recognize his mural “Etnias,” if you watched the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This artist has created murals around the world of peacemakers like Martin Luther King and Mother Theresa; he even created one includes the figureheads of Mount Rushmore in my hometown of Los Angeles. For the Olympics, Kobra and his team painted the world’s largest mural with 5 faces of indigenous people from around the globe. Despite our differences, the artist hopes his murals will inspire us to stay connected.
