The Biggest Takeaway from the MTV VMA’s 2018

by go Inspo | 4 months ago

What has typically been termed as the “Anything could happen here” awards, hasn’t really lived up to its hype tagline as of recent years.  Yesterday was no exception.

What went wrong?  There were horribly scripted jokes from both Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish who are typically hilarious.  Guaranteed they would have freestyled funnier jokes without the teleprompter that even Tiffany had trouble reading/pronouncing.

In addition, they chose Madonna for Aretha’s tribute which was very questionable and MTV chose to not even post on their YouTube channel.

Now that we got through the bad of the awards, how about the best part of the night?

Logic.  Logic who played a huge role and initiative towards suicide prevention last year sang his song: 1-800-273-8255

This year, he sang ‘One Day’ ft. Ryan Tedder and made a strong statement against immigration deportation and family separation.  His shirt read: F*CK THE WALL and during this time where immigrants are literally being dehumanized – every person he brought out with him on stage read “WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS”.  Watch the amazing performance below:
