Remembering 9/11by go Inspo | 1 week ago
17 years ago to this date the world changed, our country changed. As ironic as it sounds…that day and the days/weeks/months that followed truly defined what it meant to be an American. Politics were brushed aside, rivals were irrelevant and we as Americans came together.
A day like this during a time where our country is extremely divided might be what we need to remind us how to come together. That is of course until the next incident of social injustice that’s amplified in a media frenzy world.
On top of that add that we’re only a couple months away from arguably the most important mid-term elections that will decide a lot. What does that mean? That means the next couple months will be full of political ads, social media will be full of political conversations.
That also means there’s an opportunity to do your own research apart from what’s being fed through the media. Make sure you’re educated on the issues and exercise your American right to go out and vote.
However, on this day…remembering those who lost their lives just going about their day…going to work and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Please take some time to reflect on what it means to be an American.
