Hi there!! I’m so excited to be a part of the goInspo community and to have the opportunity to share my tips and tricks with you all. Let me start with how my own fitness journey began…
I haven’t always been the happy, confident person you see, it took a lot of lifestyle changes and learning to love myself again. Once you love yourself, you find everything else will fall into place. You learn that sometimes you need to put yourself and your feelings first, you start to pay close attention to what you’re eating and putting into your body, and you realise the importance of exercising and resting.
So for me it all started because I made a decision to want more from life, I didn’t want to just assume that one day I will have a better future, I knew the only way to create a great future is to work for it. That meant working from the inside and out, I listened to my body and started to nourish it with food that would make me feel good. I started training regularly and made it a priority, it was a chance for me to de-stress and plus, I loved the physical benefits! My body was changing, I was feeling stronger, looking better and felt energised. There was not only the physical benefits, I realised a strong body starts with a strong mind and that strength, much like happiness, is a choice.
Because the truth is, what makes you healthy is not how your body looks; it’s how your body feels mentally and physically. Sure, living a healthy lifestyle will improve your physique, but if your mind isn’t in the right place this will only give you temporary satisfaction. You have to get your mind right and make happiness your goal, otherwise you will be chasing something that doesn’t exist, “perfect” doesn’t have a picture definition. So this is my aim really, to help you find a healthier and happier place just like I did.
