I’m a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) from the San Francisco Bay Area. I am very passionate about helping people become healthier versions of themselves. Like most dietitians, I do not believe in dieting because I know that diets offer empty promises! Our world is consumed with whatever diet is popular today, but I strongly believe that health isn’t a trend. It’s important to choose the right ingredients and know what is exactly going into our bodies. This is why I started my Diet Assassanista blog in May of 2016 with a mission to teach others that eating healthy foods is fun, rewarding, and absolutely delicious!

I first became passionate about living a healthier lifestyle when I studied abroad in Greece. There I fell in love with Mediterranean food and my future husband (!) and learned that by just moving a little more and eating amazing whole foods, I could become a healthier me. After completing my undergraduate studies at UC Santa Barbara, I knew that becoming a dietitian was my true calling and headed off to San Jose State University to obtain my Master’s in Nutrition and complete the Didactic Program in Dietetics. I’ve been practicing as a Clinical Dietitian since 2013 and haven’t looked back since!

The charity I’d like to highlight is Feeding America.
